Faith in Humanity is a lifestyle brand, clothing-based company, that raises awareness of mental health on college campuses.
The brand is cause marketed through giving a portion of its proceeds back to the JED Foundation.
The mission of FIH is to empower all people to reach out to one another over the discussion of mental health and unify in their support for those who struggle with it daily. Through the product, they will present a platform for this community and an entity that people can derive a sense of connectedness to.
In the upcoming fall with the help of a Ph.D. at the North Carolina State University Department of Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management, they will be developing a product line that through intelligent functional design conveys our team has genuinely considered the challenges that people face in dealing with their mental health, as well as being something that has an underlying universality in wear.
The products will be functionally designed to accomplish one of two things, or both: 1. Facilitating Human interaction, connection, physical or verbally through functional design. 2. Creating garments that provide tools to help people deal with stress, anxiety, and feeling alone in what they are going through.
The garments will have a universality in wear so that a larger group of consumers can be reached, and thus forming a supportive community around the discussion of mental health. Their tagline of “Never Alone” is not only meant to inspire those who go through struggles with their mental health to feel that they are never alone but also to be a reminder that there is a whole community of people supporting them in their struggles.
They will be giving a portion of our proceeds back to the JED Foundation to fund a further initiative on mental health, but also being a connecting link to expert information on the subject of mental health.
