Upon entering this website, we found ourselves asking: Can you really brand fruit? Compal International shows that an apple is not always merely an apple with their cohesive company brand representing fruit juices, nectars and other healthy fruit products. In all, this website does a great job of setting this brand apart from the other, less branded products on the market, showing that you can indeed create a marketable brand for almost any product or service.

You can find out about the products, the fruits that go into them, the health benefits of the products, and where to buy them. If you are interested in the company, you can also find company news, contact information, and a little about the company history. A vision statement completes the picture of natural goodness. Bright colors and natural scenes dominate the website, making the juices feel like a cheery and natural choice.

For example, the way the landing page allows you to select a line from a group of juices id both clever and attractive. While it may not be creative in the same way as the Mona Lisa, it is an unusual and well thought out way of dealing with the issue.

Ease of use: 5 stars. This website couldn’t be easier to use, with tabs clearly visible at the bottom of every page.

Functionality: 3 stars. The store locater makes it easy to find where you can buy the products in question, while the “Say Hi” tab takes you to a contact form. Links to a Twitter or Facebook page would make it easier for customers to interact with the brand.

Content: 5 stars. There isn’t a lot of text, but it is all well written and compelling. In this website the products take center stage—as they should.

Appropriateness: 5 stars. This website is just perfect for a fruit product company, offering a cohesive brand and appropriate images.

Overall: 4.2 stars. Compal International does the almost impossible—creating a brand that sets their fruit nectars and products apart from everyone else’s while giving customers a chance to interact with the company in a way that would be impossible without this website.
